The Coral Reef Division of the DFYIT (Drug-Free Youths In Town) Club is under the guidance of Mrs. Ivonne Sotolongo.
We aim to educate our peers on the dangers of Drugs and Alcohol, as well as opportunities to earn leadership skils will educational-yet
fun, fieldtrips, while maintaing our health, and having fun all while staying ABOVE THE INFLUENCE!The healthy choices made
by DFYIT members, add to the positive impact made by providing a healthier environment for everyone in our community. Since
it's official Club Lanch in 1992, over 50,000 students have participated in the DFYIT program State-Wide.
Coral Reef DFYIT offers a great support system by surrounding us with fellow Drug Free friends who have similar
beliefs on drugs and alcohol. By avoiding these harmful stimulants, we help to sread the message that you can have self-control,
responsibilty, and best of all, friends, without the use of drugs and alcohol.
With currently over 400 members in the Coral Reef Division, we hope to earn back our title this year, as School of
the Year. As a member of DFYIT you can partake in lots of fun activities including community service and special events and
many other upcoming events.
We join the other 53+ Miami-Dade County Middle and High Schools and the 7,000+ students in the club, but we aim to
make our divison widely known and remembered.
